WHY BONDS?
Sometimes, the way things unfold can be unpredictable. In 2022, as a prominent importer of freshwater fish from the Russian Federation, EU sanctions caused us significant complications and economic damages. Our ability to import long-term contracted volumes—primarily for Czech retail chains—was suddenly cut off. No one lent us a helping hand; instead, our customers applied penalties for non-delivery, regardless of the international sanctions. We stood our ground, but it was a three-year battle. To ensure such a situation never repeats itself, we decided to build our own production capacities. One of these key investments is Rybářství MÍROV.
At the same time, in late 2025, we successfully secured export licenses for freshwater Zander (Pike-perch) from Kazakhstan and simultaneously locked in buyers. As a result, you will be able to buy our Kazakhstan Zander in Lidl stores starting in March 2026.
Our available financial resources were immediately channeled into this commodity, as it offers a much faster turnover and higher profitability. At the same time, we refuse to waste the energy we have already invested in the Rybářství Mírov project.
